Wither Or Whither Modi? – Lazy Fly
One of my mentors in journalism is the immortal Behram Contractor a.k.a. Busybee who wrote a short, humorous column every day.
It was called Round and About.
I am no patch on him and cannot match his crisp essays in substance and in humour.
So I call myself Lazy Fly and have named this series of writing endeavours – Square And Straight.
Modi has won India's electoral battle 2014.
But has he won the war?
Those who have looted India to the tune of almost 1 trillion US dollars [that is the estimate of the ill-gotten Indian wealth stashed abroad owned by politicians, gangsters and ‘industrialist-tax-evaders] will not allow Modi to do what he plans to do – make India great.
Making India great will not suit Pakistan’s politicians – who survive on serving hate and profiting from it.
My fears are well-founded.
Making India will not suit the evil designs of China that is out to bankrupt the world in pursuit of a macabre version of commie-capitalistic-neo-colonialism.
Making India great will not suit the neo-version of what had been the Soviet Union – led by Vladimir Putin – who is working overnight to bankrupt Western Europe by getting gas pipelines closed in Ukraine to choke industries in the European Union on the one hand and testing the waters to extend the Iron Curtain again on the other through clever moves in certain parts of the former SovBloc republics in the West and playing dangerous politics in Afghanistan to do unto the US what Uncle Sam did to the Russian army with help from Osama bin Laden. And it was reportedly someone close to Mad Vlad who had leaked the details of the Bofors payoffs to the Swedish Radio and to the Indian media.
All these entities will be looking for the slightest of chances to get Modi killed.
I have expressed my fears long ago.
The NDA Victory
I had been in no doubt about the victory of the National Democratic Alliance [NDA] in the just concluded Indian general elections.
Not having had the luxury of travelling all over India in the run up to the elections like my good friend and political editor of the Outlook magazine – the beautiful Saba Naqvi, I had given the right-wing Bharatiya Janata Party-led NDA 260 plus.
While I can claim to be right, I would rather admit, I was partly wrong.
The BJP has its own majority now and the Prime Minister designate – Narendra Damodardas Modi – needn’t worry one little about coalition dharma something the former party mainstay – Atal Behari Vajpayee had stressed on after the 2002 riots in the aftermath of the burning of the Sabarmati Express.
There is a new term in Indian politics now – the corruption of the Japanese term tsunami – meaning a giant physical sea-wave to the drowner of all political opponents – tsuNaMo.
The English language does not have the word either drowner and/or tsuNaMo – yet.
Modi has promised to work with all political parties constructively and sans confrontation in an apparently surprising itsy-bitsy bid to calm ruffled feathers after having fought and won a bitter and acrimonious election.
At least his lip service sounded magnanimous and the body language showed clear sincerity.
The conciliatory expression could be clearly seen reaching his eyes when he spoke extempore in Ahmadabad after his thumping win.
The Congress party’s response was in the pure – sour grapes mould.
“We accept moral responsibility for the defeat,” the mother-son duo comprising Edvige Antonia Albina Maino also known as Sonia Gandhi and Rahul alias Raul Gandhi said.
Neither of them talked about quitting their posts like the Congress CM in Assam – Tarun Gogoi did – after having yielded the BJP its biggest toe-hold in the northeast.
Over-ambitious political jokers like Shashi Tharoor sang paeans to the Congress leadership for its sagacity of accepting moral responsibility and talked of ‘severe and sincere introspection’ to ‘discern what actually went wrong’.
In my opinion, that was a 40’ container load of raw crap.
Those who belong to the Congress party always clung to the popularity of the Nehru-Gandhi clan – for purely making money, more money and most money.
The Nehru-Gandhi clan used such selfish shysters to do more of the same, cleaning out most pockets of gullible Indian citizens like a gang of pickpockets.
The Criminal Clan And The Paki Spy-woman
And then there is the confidence trickster Robert Vadra – who not only stole from us citizens of India that is Bharat – but also called us victims of India that is Bharat – mango people in the Banana Republic of India!
So, is Narendra Modi going to forgive such criminals in the name of avoiding confrontation?
Will it be politically worth it?
Will he be egged on by vindictive sections within the BJP to edge Sonia Gandhi – the agent of Pakistan’s ISI and what had been the KGB [now under a new name and management that works to old rules under Mad Vlad Putin] – out of India and force the accursed clan to settle in some place in Italy or Comorros Islands with their ill-gotten wealth?
Frankly, Modi may find it extremely difficult to get back the wealth looted by the Sonia clan. Even finding the mother-son-daughter-son-in-law gang guilty of clear offences punishable under various sections of the Indian Penal Code could be almost impossible. That is because the judicial system itself is almost irretrievably corrupt in India and is loaded in favour of criminals.
Those in doubt – kindly refer to the game of Russian Roulette being played by the assassins of Rajiv Gandhi – for well over 23 years and for some 15 years after all their appeals have been nixed. Some idiot journalists continue to publish sheer rubbish about one of the assassins – claiming to have been framed – after the fact of his having been a clear conspirator on some 11 counts was established beyond any iota of doubt.
One Afzal Guru who connived with those who hit Indian Parliament when it was in session was finally hanged – after having made a mockery of the justice system of India that is Bharat.
Mumbai’s Pakistani marauder – Ajmal Kasab – rendered the Indian judicial system into an organ grinder’s monkey and the Pakistani establishment continues to do so in Islamabad to this day – after the terrorist nearly bankrupted India’s financial capital on 26/11. Finally, the man hanged … and that too triggered a series of protests by treacherous Indians – whose citizenship ought to be cancelled with immediate effect and they should be jailed forthwith.
Criminals – who have looted, pillaged, raped, tortured and murdered – of all religious hues have been released ‘for good conduct’ prematurely after having served less than 20% of their original sentences.
The political flotsam and jetsam
Some of them returned to crime in a big way – like those who were turned loose by the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam regime sometime ago, after having been found guilty of attempting to kill Advani in the Coimbatore bomb blasts. It so happens that they are Muslims.
The same can be said of several underworld dons – who belong to Hindu, Christian and even Sikh communities elsewhere in India.
The laxity was attributed to the political realities in the past.
Indira Gandhi used the so-called witch-hunt against her by the Janata regime – managed to convince the majority citizens of India of being the wronged woman – while actually succeeding in her conspiracy to divide the Janata Party purely on the basis of small-minded selfish men like Charan Singh, Babu Jagjivan Ram and Raj Narain to mention just 3 political knaves.
And then there are the God-men
The likes of Baba-black-sheep Ramdev, the apologists of Ass Ram Bapu like the Kanchi Shankaracharya Jayendra Saraswati, the sex-video hero nitwit Nityananda Swami, the land-grabbing politicians' benamis trustee businessmen of various hues ... all would have begun sending feelers.
The polite rumour is that Modi allocates a lot of time for such conmen and con-women.
Will such things snag what could be a good reign?
Frankly, I do not know.
The 70’s Janata handicap
At that point in time, Janata Party could be split on the issue of the non-existent stigma on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh-controlled Jan Sangh – which became the Bharatiya Janata Party – which is being accused even today of being controlled by those in the RSS headquarters in Nagpur.
It was that split that brought Indira back to power.
This time, there is another issue though.
In the southern states like Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, the likes of the highly corrupt Yeddy and Chandrababu Naidu respectively – did help the BJP bring home the odd bacon in the forms of parliamentary seats.
I have no time for schmucks like Yeddy and Naidu.
The views go back a few years.
The political parasite parakeets
Surely, the triumphant return of the totally discredited Yeddy and the completely washed up Naidu will now trigger a flood of corrupt politicians to rush to the new Ganges called the NDA apparently seeking to serve the nation.
Such political opportunists who would make a beeline to the NDA could include the Samajwadi Party, the Bahujan Samaj Party, the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, the totally discredited DMK, Mamata Bannerjee’s Trinamool Congress, Biju Janata Dal and even Janata Dal United under Nitish Kumar.
It is a matter of little interest to anyone that the personalities will either be trying to safeguard their ill-gotten wealth or better their political nest eggs and/or both.
In Tamil Nadu, the BJP shot itself in the throat by enlisting the likes of Indhiya Jananayaga Katchi, the anti-national Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and the nearly kaput Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam owned and operated by Dr Parri Venthar, Vaiko and washed up actor Vijaykant respectively.
The state BJP president Pon Radhakrishnan – who has single-mindedly ensured the party never, ever grew in Tamil Nadu managed to win from Kanyakumari – allegedly with some politically incestuous help from well-known industrialist trader – Vasant Kumar.
Other contestants within the BJP flock in Tamil Nadu – it is said – made deals with other winnable candidates in the ruling All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam.
For instance – Dr V Maitreyan – who is a member of the Rajya Sabha from Tamil Nadu for the AIADMK was once a member of the RSS and the BJP. The rumour is that he ensured that most of the BJP nominees did ‘profitable deals’ creating ‘multiple win-win situations’ in as many as 16 of the 37 seats won by AIADMK candidates.
The clean chits given to the likes of Nitin Gadkari [who is Pon Radhakrishnan’s Godfather] by financial mercenaries like S Gurumurthy will come into play now attempting to swing the mind Modi – to the obvious betterment of their clients.
But will such clean chit holders manage to mould the evidently malleable policy of the BJP – to the betterment of their clients prove to be detrimental to India that is Bharat – is something to be seen.
The daggers are being cleaned already to backstab
Already, the likes of Nirmala Seetharaman – the BJP spokesperson – have begun making very guarded statements even when praising Modi on the very day of his victory – thus – in my opinion – making room to play false strokes.
My original fear about Modi being done in by his enemies within the BJP stays.
But he can build Indians’ confidence by hitting at some of the villains.
Here are some links of ideas – expressed by me before – all of them easily workable.
I can only pray for Modi’s long life.
May God Save India!
May God Bless India!
May Modi have a long reign and enjoy robust health!
And may the villains and vamps who looted India ruthlessly suffer, rot in hell or simply take flight to some place from where they cannot be extradited … so that we in India can pursue our goal – towards growth and prosperity.
